Is it normal that i am falling for my first love all over again?

I recently began seeing my ex boyfriend regularly again after we broke up 2 years ago. It was an amicable split and we remained friends and on quite good terms.

We began dating the summer before freshman year in high school and dated until halfway through sophomore year. Our relationship was fairly innocent in nature, but we fell in love nonetheless. We were different enough that we brought out the best in one another. I brought him out of his shell and he calmed me down.

About 3 months ago we started talking more often (no more than 3 times a month) and we got together a few times to catch up. In the past month we have talked more and we saw one of our favorite local bands together. Things are starting to feel like they did when we were dating (he stops by my house to say "hey" if he is in the area, we sit close, I put my head on his shoulder and he brushes the hair out of my face, we go on picnics) I almost think I have a chance with him again.

Is it normal I am falling for my first love again?
