Is it normal that i am extremely afraid of earth worms?

I cannot cross paths with an earthworm. Something about their bodies creep me out. They are like mutant snakes and have multiple hearts. Sometimes at night I panic about the rain outside knowing that they will be out of the ground, but sometimes thinking about them in the ground is horrifying enough.
I told an ex when I was with him about this fear, little did I know they had a compost in their garage that they would put leftover dinner in to make dirt, he tied me up and put me inside of it. I have never been more terrified.

    i think they are so cool and have had them inside me moving around. omg i would have loved to have been tied to up next to them

    That was a really mean thing he did.....I'm glad he's your ex. As long as your not thinking about earthworms every day, stressing out about them, then I think your ok.

    He tied you up????????? WTF???? If i were you i'd tie him up and throw him in with rats or in a shark tank.

    I'm the EXACT SAME WAY! I've always been freaked out by them. I will literally run and jump over them if I have to!

    I used to dig up earthworms and play with them as a child, now I can't stand to touch them. And I enjoy fishing! So, I beg someone else to bait my hook. Maybe you can think of them this way. Earthworms are happy little helpers that eat garbage to keep the Earth beautiful! Worth a shot. ;-)

    Yeah! that was pretty mean of him.

    But girl, relax, everyone is afraid of certain things and you happen to be scared of earthworms. Thats normal! And as XJayX said, as long as you keep earthworms out of your mind, everything will be fine! XD
