Is it normal that i am dreaming of a kid who passed away i didnt know?

i keep dreaming of this kid who sadly drowned after jumping off a bridge about an hour from where i live, i was really upset about it and i didnt even know him, and the dreams i have are about his family and then ill like just see him standing around, i dont know if maybe i got myself to involved, because i did look at his fb page because of few of my friends knew him, and he just seemed like a sweet person and i felt really really bad about the whole situation.. is it normal that i see him in my dreams? and why? is it because i think too much about it?

    Aww...that's really sad. :(
    It's normal to dream about anything or any people. Even though you never knew him, maybe he's looking down and knows you're thinking of him. A guy in my dream recently sort of resembled the drummer from my fav band who died...that was actually a while ago and I wasn't a fan then, but I've prayed for him and his family. Whether or not that was supposed to be him in my dream I don't know...
    but yeah, dreams are normal.

    Thank you guys:) I was beginning to think I was crazy! I guess I just have respect for the dead, but I only had a few dreams about him not really anymore

    I have really vivid dreams too. I think having something like that happen so close to where you live especially, as well as looking at his facebook and seeing what he was like as a person, can have a really profound effect on you. I think that it's completely normal to empathize with the boy, and I think you're trying to work through that in your dreams.

    You can dream about pretty much anything and it would still be normal.
