Ive only done it twice. The first time it was the best thing thats ever happened to me. Me and my friend were talking about lucid dreaming so when i finally did it i went searching for my friend thinking that if he too was lucid dreaming that night we can meet up in our dream kind of like inception. I never found my buddy but lucid dreaming is the shittttt

Seriously ? Dying from a vivid dream?

The ONLY way a dream can kill you is ... if you're doing something stupid like sleeping while driving.

Lol no it's impossible to die in a dream. Lucid dreams are actually pretty amazing and you can literally do anything you want, but it is something you have to work at. Like Anime4 said do reality check throughout your day so they become habit and you will eventually do the check in your dream subconsciously. I've gotten the interest back to lucid dream recently and just try to put my fingers through my other hand for my check. Also I've read that puttin lucid dreaming on your mind by reading online about it for instance will keep the idea on your mind and make it easier to achieve it.

Best of luck on getting your dream world consciously :D!

I can vouch that technique does work. I stumbled across lucid dreaming completely by accident when I eventually realised my inhaler doesn't work for me in my dreams but I still needed it. I then did a lot of reading about it and I went through a peiod where I could achieve a lucid dream every few nights and it had nothing to do with my inhaler but just that it was on my mind a lot during that period. One of the best experiences ever.

  • You can't die from lucid dreaming but you can lose your grip on reality. However, that doesn't happen very often.

    Here are some tips
    1) Get into the habit of remembering your dreams
    2) try to find a reoccurring location in your dreams, it'll be a sign that you're dreaming that way, thus you become aware that you're dreaming.
    3) It is VERY IMPORTANT that you get into the habit of testing reality. Carry an object that you can perform reality checks with. Kinda like how in inception the guy always spun his top to see if he was dreaming. When you're dreaming the properties of the physical world no longer apply.

    Hope this helps.
