Sounds normal to me. Have fun! I think it's always better when the guys older. You might want to hold off on the sex though, until she is legal.
It's not abnormal, but from someone who's learned a lot from tough relationships at that age, my advice is to find someone at your school who can relate to what you're going through. The age gap will cause rifts, and breaking it off will not be the end of the world, I promise, no matter what it seems like now. College is an awesome experience, and her immaturity will start to show. You'll want space, and having been a 16 year old girl once, I can confidently tell you now she won't be able to give it to you. Good luck and have fun with college, and be gentle if you decide to break it off with her.
I'm 24 and my fiance is 21. Same age difference, but be careful with the sex thing, depending on where you live that could get you in a lot of trouble!
It's highly unlikely that that relationship will work. Girls that young - their minds (and hearts) always change. Good luck though!
