Is it normal that i always have headaches?

I ALWAYS have headaches. I have at least 3 a day. EVERY single day. It's been like this for the past 2 ish years. I do not have a tumor, aneurysm, or cyst. And no doctor can find out what's wrong. I've also been on a daily medicine for the past 5 or more months. I am in CONSTANT pain and no one knows why.

Is this normal??

Exercise regularly, stay hydrated, avoid caffeine, get your neck/spine MRI'd to check for damaged discs and/or cysts and tumors.

Are the headaches worse in the morning? If so, ask your doc about sleep apnea and get a complete sleep-study done (polysomnography).

  • Sucks. I get them every other day in the summer. Dunno why it happens but headaches/migraines suck.

I had a similar problem. What was wrong with me was that I was addicted to the pain medication. I gradually cut back one the meds till I eventually stopped taking them at all. The headaches went away too. My condition was called rebound headaches. That may be your problem too.

My sister messed up her neck when she was little. She has pretty much had a headache ever since. She is in college now. A couple years ago I guess there was a consensus on what happened to her to cause this. She injured a part of her spine and then it actually healed that way. There are exercises and things she can do to alleviate some of the pain but I don't think it is fixable without a major surgery.

  • I get headaches ALL THE TIME!!!! here's what works: you are probably not drinking enough water, i hate dribling water, but then I got an iPhone app about water and it says lack of water causes headaches. So try drinking water. I hope this helps :).

I feel for u because I've always suffered from headaches and severe migrains. I had been on tablets for many years( more than ten) I recently had Bowen therapy as someone suggested it may help. I didn't really think it could help but was desperate and willing to try just about anything! I'm glad I did because I seriously havnt had one in over 5 months and I, like u, used to get a few headaches a day. My migrains were so severe that I would loose my vision and be paralysed down one side of my body and have a thumping headache. I had only 2 sessions and Bowen really did help me and I hope u can get some relief soon!
