Whenever I go to cemeteries, I always see people sad or crying. But I like to go by myself all the time, and I spend hours there. It always makes me happy. Does anyone else feel like this? Is this normal?
I ran from the noise and the silence
From the traffic on the streets
I ran to the cemetery
And held my breath, and thought about your death
And I smelled her burning flesh
Her rotting bones
Her decay
I ran and I ran

i like them too. they are very peaceful, sometimes a bit creepy though. there's a cemetery right by my place that is so interesting. it's pretty small as far as cemeteries go, maybe only 150 graves, but it's very old. it dates back to the late 1700's. the gravestones of soldiers are all marked with stars indicating what war they fought in. every war that our country has been in (i'm from the good ole USA) has a soldier buried in that cemetery. considering the size of it, that fact blows my mind. very interesting to me. i love it there.
Yes! I love cemeteries. Obviously I would be unhappy in one if someone I know died but since that hasn't happened i find them very peaceful. Also its almost like walking through a very nicely landscaped park and the graves are all very pretty. I find them very calming. I also like going because of all the different names you can see! I like reading them and looking on the dates of older stones because they can tell you something about history.
