Is it normal that i always get asked for directions?

Literally every time I leave the house AT LEAST one person stops me to ask for directions. Even when I'm the tourist. Even in other countries, where I can only understand enough of the language to know that they're asking me how to get somewhere. Lately, I also get asked for restaurant recommendations too (in cities I have never been to before).

The other day I was taking a train somewhere and a woman who spoke next to no English asked if I had the same train and started following me. Then some other kid was like, "Do you know how all this works? Can you show me how to do this?" and then a couple of other ladies asked if I was going the same way they were. I don't normally take trains places, and was having trouble figuring things out myself, but somehow all these people decided that I was the one to talk to. It's weird.

    People always ask me too. Its weird. But apparently I'm really good at giving directions.

      Can I ask how? Even if you say something like "you're not paying attention to the number of people that don't ask you for directions" you've got to admit that being asked basically every time you leave the house is fairly often.

    Lol was going to say maybe you seem friendly until I read that you usually have a "scowl" look on your face. Maybe you look like a generic person. Start charging people for your help, at least you'll be getting paid for it lol.

    Me too. Someone says it's because I "look" intelligent. Which is a bit ridiculous.

    That's the thing though...I'm generally unfriendly. I have a tendency to walk around with a scowl on my face.
