Is it normal that i always feel exhausted?

I am always tired... from the moment I wake up in the morning, until the moment I lie my head down on my pillow at night. I am so tired during the day that I HAVE to take naps, because I just can't function while I'm so sleepy. I wake up, and I'm even more tired. It gets in the way of my college studies because I'm always feeling too drained to study. Is this normal?

    It could be many things.

There's something called "sleep apnoea," which involves many interruptions in a person's breathing during the night, making you wake up briefly each time. Usually, the sufferer isn't aware that their sleep is continually being disrupted, but a direct effect of it is constant tiredness.

Then, there's narcolepsy. Excessive daytime sleepiness is a defining feature of narcolepsy.

Another thing that could be affecting you is your diet! I've been on a hypoglycemic diet for a few months now and it has helped me with my sleeping problems (well, I've not been sticking to it as of late the effects show.) With hypoglycemia, your sugar levels are going crazy, causing you to feel very tired. Go here for more info: http://ehealthforum.com/health/topic119108.html

It might be worth it to go and have a sleep study done to see if it's any of the first two or something else. Hope you figure it out. Sleep problems can really mess you up.

I had that problem, It completely ruled my life and my college course..
It ended up I was anaemic.
I would advise you going to your docter, he will suggest a blood test
