Is it normal that i always feel embarrassed of myself?

I can always recall humiliating memories of myself; even those that already happened few years back. For example, few years ago I accidentally farted in front of my ex, and till now I still feel embarrassed of myself whenever I remind myself of such incidents. I literally want to dig a hole and hide whenever I recall humiliating incidents..

I hate that feeling, I know exactly what you mean. I will remember it randomly and feel kinda ill. I just remember that I cant change it, and hopefully they dont remember lol. Always strive to improve right?

Its very normal, but don't dwell on them so much. And to be embarrassed about farting in front of an ex!! That's not normal, if you cant fart in front of someone then you shouldn't have been with them anyway!

YES! YES! YES! I do the exact same thing, don't worry too much about it. Its best to put the past behind you, one memory at a time. :3

I laughed at you farting in front of an ex - he probably thought you did it deliberately to show him your contempt. Don't give that one another thought! Must recommend that one to my friends ;o)

I am the same way too, but I comfort myself with the fact that the only embarrassing things I ever remember are the ones where I am the one embarrassed. Even though I am positive I have seen people embarrass themselves loads of times I usually forgot about it completely in a week. Unless it is something like spilling drink all over the president of the United States, the only one who remembers your embarrassing moments is you.

This happens to me all the time, if something reminds me of an embarrassing moment I can feel myself sitting there sinking going red with embarrassment all over again! Don't dwell on this stuff though, it happens to everyone!

It seems to be normal...and since it is normal, your ex must have embarrassing moments of his/her own and is probably spending too much time thinkin about his/her embarrassing moments...which means no one should be embarrassed like the fact that I dont really know how to spell embarrassed...to me it just sounds like a funny moment that everyone has been through but it probably doesnt feel that way to you...i think its normal lol

  • Story of my life. It happens to me everyday and whenever I remember a really bad one, my stomach starts to hurt really badly. Sometimes I have to shake the memories out of my head or I'll accidently blurt out 'stupid' or 'fuck you' and I'll snap myself right outta it.
