Is it normal that i accepted my ex's fb frnd req the 3rd time?

he was the one who ditched me twice.the last time was almost an year ago.And then a few weeks back he sent me a frnd req on fb which i rejected and then again today he sent me which i accepted. i think its wrong to accept his frnd req coz he'll just play with my feelings again but i accepted it because i want to know what does he want from me.

i did the wrong thing and i should remove him 1
i should remove him after i come to know about his intentions 1
