Is it normal that i absolutely hate when people do this on youtube?

I hate it when people create accounts and pretend they're celebrities, cartoon characters and such, it's not funny and frankly, extremely annoying! For example, every time I see a Family Guy clip, there's always comments from accounts in which the names and pictures are that of the characters, stuff such as "Shut up Meg". And these are greeted with multiple thumbs up! It's not that I don't have a sense of humor or anything, but this is not amusing in the least and it really pisses me off. It's just begging for attention and likes. Is it normal that I feel this way about all this?

    It annoys me no end. I found it amusing and creative the first few times I saw those accounts, but they're just the same jokes constantly recycled and there's nothing funny about a joke you've heard a thousand times :P It frustrates me when people beg for thumbs up on YouTube too; it's the equivalent of someone on IIN going "hai guyz, thumb up dis coment if da OP's a retard".

    Trolls or just people who seek attention. It doesn't really surprise me when they get the most up vote. Sometimes it's amusing and sometimes it's not. It's not worth losing energy over.

    "shut up meg" is annoying. its like the thing in my school. which just bugs me alot.

    Well they are free to think up any damn name they wish. If they choose to base it off a cartoon character let them. God forbid anyone has some creativity in this world. Mind your own business. If you want to be uncreative and boring that is entirely up to you. Dont bitch about people enjoying themselves.

    How is them pretending to be peter ruining your life? What makes you think you are so high and mighty that you can rule the internet? If they are not harassing you than you just looking for a reason to mess with people. Get past yourself and realize people are unique.

    I find it amusing only if they actually RP correctly. If someone just makes an account for 3 comments pretending to be a character it's annoying but when they make whole account ONLY for RPing it's entertaining.

    You really need to loosen up. These people aren't trying to pretend to be anyone, they are making jokes that would be funny if a certain person had said them. Kind of like how people post all kinds of pictures of [fake] texts or stories that would be funny if they happened, and can still be funny as long as they aren't tooo fake.

      Despite wherever the thumbs down came from, I also think it really isn't that big of a deal. Take a look at this:

      A clear example of this and the people who did it didn't ASK for thumbs up, they just did it and people thought it was funny, so they got thumbs up. What I find more annoying is people who say "thumbs up if [blahblah] brought you here!" or "we meet again 240p" as if they don't understand that Youtube didn't always have higher options. I can understand that sometimes they aren't funny but I think there are worse displays of ignorance that can bother a person more.

    Hetalia's fandom is AWFUL for that on Youtube! It's especially irritating to see more than one account which is named after the same character.

    Doubly irritating when it's one of your favourites [Poland, aka Feliks] and triply annoying when _all_ that the majority of these people do is roleplay him like he's some brainless valley girl and have "like"; "OMG" and/or "totally" in every sentence.

    Yes he crossdresses and looks good while doing so (And I happen to think he's attractive; but I'm a sucker for men in touch with their feminine side. AND he has long blonde hair).
    Yes, his Nagoyan dialect in the Japanese is translated to valley girl in the dub and has a lot of slang.... but he doesn't seem remotely stupid to me.
    In fact, I see him as genderfluid and very comfortable with his identity and actually quite smart (Just a bit spaced out a lot of the time).
