Is it normal that i absolutely despise my (former) best friend?

Yesterday, I told my firend that I didn't want to be friends with her. I just couldn't stand her. Everything she did annoyed me so much. She asked stupid questions and pointed out the painfully obvious. She thinks she is so cool and swears at least twice in every sentence, calling everyone bastards and bitches because she thinks it makes her cooler. She wears the same tank top all the time. I hung out at her house for a few days while ours was getting renovated and she wore this tank top on wednesday, to sleep on wednesday night, again on thursday, to sleep on thursday night and wore it again on friday. I don't know if she wore it over the weekend because I left. Her house is disgusting too. She got up at night to blow her nose and just threw the tissue on the floor. I just really hate her. But we've been friends for years. Do you think I made a mistake?

  • It all depends on the type of person you are.
If you think best friends are suppost to stick with eachother through anything and everything then I would say you made a mistake and disregarded what you see as right just because she smells and is rude and that even though change you are suppost to keep by them.

If you believe friendship is an add on in life and its only worth it if they dont annoy you and start being the things you dislike then its not a mistake.

Both options arent wrong or right they are your discisions.

I see plenty of posts like this on here and for once, I have no answer but instead a question. I sometimes drift from friends when they move away or get married, but I have never in my life had a friend I've later ended up hating. I don't get how it happens. And, right now, the only logical way to find out is to ask you.

    What changed?

She sounds gross. Time to grow up. How are you supposed to do that if she's dragging you down?
