cause he’s name is Brett, and he’s been my childhood sweetheart and bestie since we were in elementary school together(Gr.1) for 13yrs we both have much things in common and etc... and I’m thinking about marry him but I’m scared of what he might think if I propose to him.. 😬 so I’m just wondering if it is normal?

Seriously, how can anyone here possibly know the answer to this question? There are childhood sweethearts who get married and live blissfully together until they both die on the same day seventy years later. More commonly, childhood sweethearts get married and stay together for a decade or two, but then one of them suddenly realises there's a whole world of people out there who they don't know and they only got married because of social expectations or because it seemed the logical thing to do.
Some friends are best staying just friends; some friends can make wonderful spouses. Only you and Brett can have any idea of what category your relationship falls into.
