Is it normal that he says he loves me but "loves my friend too"

My boyfriend and i have been dating for almost 5 months and yesterday he told me that he needed to tell me something so i asked what it was and he told me that it didn't mean he didn't love me but he loves my best friend in the same way. Me and him have a sort of sexual relationship (base 3) I just feel like I'm not good enough. my first boyfriend just stopped talking to me suddenly and faded from my life, the second left me for my other friend. he never spoke to me after he called me to break up. I'm afraid that he is going to leave me for her because i have a really bad family life with my father and brother and i am always afraid of hurting anyone and come off as over protective.

Stay with him because he is going to leave you, enjoy it while you can 1

    Even I have fam probs but what's with him liking ur best friend??! That's not normal. Just leave him. If a guy truly loves u he wouldn't have said that.

      Thanks. I don't know why he likes her too. Its disheartening.

      Also day before yesterday he accidentally dropped me and apparently I was knocked unconscious ( I hardly remember it, I remember him asking "are you okay?" in a panicked tone and then apologizing in the same tone. Also he picked my head up and put it on my bag when i couldn't open my eyes. I don't think i was entirely unconscious just incapable of doing anything for about 10 seconds.) he seemed legitimately worried about me.

      I think he loves me to some extent at least. If i had been enough for him i guess he wouldn't have fallen in love with my friend too though. I really truly love him but I don't want to be not loved in return. All i honestly want in life is to be loved by someone who i love too. I could die happy if i just had that for a year. I don't know what to do. I saw some of his texts to her and one text from her was "Love you Bud" (not his name, a nickname)

    and i suck at nicknames so i never made one for him. Should i just let him go so he can just be happy? I want to keep him but if he loves someone else doesn't that mean he isn't mine anymore?
