Is it normal that he's less shy when texting me?

There's a guy I've kinda liked for a few days, he's sorta not really my type, he's a lot shorter than me and pretty nerdy, but I still think I like him, he's already told me he likes me but we only usually talk through texting or facebook. When I talk to him in person he's a lot more shy. I'm a demanding person, that's just who I am, and he is really passive and lets me get away with things. This is strange but it kind of bugs me. Am I the stupid one here or what? when we text he doesn't let me get away with anything. That's the person I like. I'm really confused. is it normal for him to be a different person in person?

Its easier to speak boldly via txts etc because there is less awkwardness and so he's not being real by talking one way online then acting like a scared bitch face to face

Idk sounds pretty lame to me man. I don't deal with people who are different face to face and behind the screen.

Yes, especially if he's shy. I am the same way. If you met me, you'd think I was a deadly serious person, but when texting I am always cracking jokes and making smart@ss remarks. This side of my personality comes out more with people I know well. So maybe once this guy is more comfortable with you, you'll see more of this texting personality that you like so much. I think you should give him a chance.

I'm that way. I'm a girl though. I haven't had many friends and the way I view it is if he gets comfortable in text, he'll probably get more comfortable in person. He probably just hasn't had many friends and just wants to make sure you'll like his personality...

  • I think he needs a confidence booster. Let him down easy when you/if decide it's over

He will not be able to please you physically and emotionally. Don't bother with him.
