Is it normal that he doesn't talk about himself much anymore?

There is this guy that I'm sort of talking to and I've realized lately that whenever I ask him anything about his life he briefly answers then changes the subject to something about me. I don't really get it. I mean I do know things about him. In the beginning of our friendship he told me ALOT but now it seems like he doesn't want to share much about himself. Instead he asks me questions about my day and keeps the conversation focused on me. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not it's just something I've noticed. So, is it normal?

    It's a standard pick-up technique:
1.) It keeps the conversation going without him having to contribute all his material.
2.) Many girls like talking about themselves and will associate that like with the guy that listens to it.

Of course, there could also be other reasons such as:
*He finds your life more interesting than his own.
*He has something in his past that he's not comfortable talking about.
*He's being considerate and giving you the opportunity to vent what needs to be vented.

He might be just being nice by trying to talk more about you and keep focus on you instead of talking about himself trying not to look like a self centred person. or maybe there's just nothing interesting about him n he knows it so he focuses topic on you.

Yeah, it's normal maybe he's had a bit of a troubled past. in the beginning he was comfortable with the basics, but now as it gets more intense he's shutting down. Be patient with him, and one day confront him but in the nicest way possible. You dont want to make him feel like your digging in his life.
