Is it normal that he asks what race my friends are?

I've been talking to this guy and he seems cool... But whenever I hang out with one of my friends he always asks what race they are. I can't stand talking to racist people and my friends race shouldn't matter to anyone. Am I being paranoid or is he just weird? Do any of you guys ask this question to girls you barely know?

Tell him they're "The Human Race."

      Ewww.

Fighting racism doesn't mean pretending race and racial tension doesn't exist. Common misconception.

As for the topic at hand - it's pretty odd that he seems to be preoccupied with their race. Does he ask about their race after he's met them, or before? If it's after he meets them, he may be confused about their heritage; if it's before, he may want a more specific mental image. But either way it's certainly bizarre for him to ask every time - next time, ask him why he wants to know and whether it makes a difference to him instead of something trite like "the human race".

Maybe he's just trying to get a mental picture of what they look like. Asking about race doesnt make a person racist.

Tell him it doesn't matter and it's none of his business.

    Ask him why it matters.

Maybe he's just curious. He shouldn't ask more than once though that's rude.

It does seem like an odd question.

Lmao you doubt scientists would study testosterone levels and racial sub-types? Why WOULDN'T scientists want to study something like that? The only reason they wouldn't is because of political pressure. In any event, the information from the studies are presented in the book "Race, Evolution, And Behavior: A Life History Perspective" by professor J. Philippe Rushton. A special abridged addition is available in PDF format. Just google it. You can also google the claim I made about all of the presidential candidates being called racist. It was on a "reality check" segment from the news anchor Ben Swann.

It's normal. There are real racial differences. For instance, black men have a considerably higher amount of testosterone than white men, thus part of the reason they commit more violent and sexual crimes (also making them generally more impulsive). East Asians (i.e. Japanese & Koreans), on the other hand, have lower levels of testosterone than white people (though the difference is less). So yes, even on that level it would make rational sense for him to ask such questions.

Of course there are exceptions but the above is generally true. Exceptions don't prove a generalization untrue.

Besides, why are so hateful of silly labels? Who the hell cares what someone is labeled if they are a good person? Why do you feel the need to use that ridiculous label?

Do you know that EVERY presidential candidate, including Herman Caine and Obama have been called racists? It's a completely meaningless term used to smear people. Get over it.

He wants to know how your friends are like, so he knows what type of people you like! Then, he tries to get into the culture. If not, ...so racist.

  • Not normal I'd say he's probably racist.. If he only asked once yeah maybe he'd be just curious based on the sound of a name or something but if he's asking a lot there's something up.

Maybe he just wants a mental picture.

Haha I'm glad you asked me to google it you fuckin moron because I did and guess what I got out of it? "His work has been heavily criticised by the scientific community, and it has been widely described as racist, as has the Pioneer Fund, the research foundation he has been head of since 2002." once again evolution does not work how you think it works. Read a damn book by actual scientists instead of racists pigs like yourself and then maybe you would be taken seriously. And just an fwi being racist online sounds just as stupid as it would in person.

Ok for one calm down. For 2 where did you get your statistic from because it sounds like a bullshit excuse to be a racist. Unless you have a reliable source of scientific evidence to prove your argument then your statement is VOID like the bible. You're more than welcome to post a website of where you got your info. As for it being normal, STATISTICS say its not. So should we take them seriously? If you are gonna argue please have some sense to research the shit you're saying. I highly doubt any scientists would study whether or not race has anything to do with testosterone levels. Guess what? Scientists are a lot smarter than you. Evolution doesn't work like that.

He could be curious, that's normal. However, does he ask it allot or in a negative way? Does he treat your friends like shit?

Maybe he wants to know where they are from. We do that all the time here, to see if we share a country with another person. Like I'm part Irish, and so is my friend Anna, we know this because we asked. Its all part of getting to know others. Also you could, la shock, ask him why he asks...

He seems cool but you don't like the fact he asks you what the race of your other friends is.
Kind of a CONTRADICTION There eh?
He would be cool if he didn't.
If somebody does things you do not like that should make him not cool and you should not hang out with him. Is this too hard for you to understand? Is this too difficult?
Is it normal or he is just weird? He is weirdily normal. No,
He is normally weird. No, he is a weird racist. No, he is racially weird. No wait, he is a weirdily normal racist. No wait, he is a racially abnormal racist. No wait, he is,
    just in your mind.
