Is it normal that he acts like this?

I used to have a thing with this guy, I'd say we were close. But he's a big liar so it didn't work out. After many arguments, we decide to be friends again... I guess. I mean I would just have him added on Facebook but we wouldn't talk. Its not that we were still hurt its just that I guess we didn't feel like talking to each other and I have a boyfriend now. Then he posts this pretty obvious lie as his status and I get so annoyed that I remove him. And ever since then, he does weird things. Like randomly he'll comment on a tagged picture of me or something, randomly text me, etc. Anything that sends me a notification from him. Its nothing mean though. Recently he messaged me trying to get me a job doing some pyramid scheme garbage because that's what he does. But I knew it was a scam so I stopped replying. However, this isn't the first time he's done little things to get my attention when I've stopped being friends with him. He barely talks to me when we're officially friends unless I see him somewhere. It seems that if I stop being friends with him, he makes the effort. I don't get it.
