even if they have a girlfriend?

This always happen to me, I meet a nice guy in my class (uni) we talk and he gives me all this special attention and I think he likes me, but than I find out he has a girlfriend.

So guys plz explain?

Because arn't they basically saying even if we did got together that"hey i will scam on other people, because that is how we met"

Sometimes before i have found out I will flirt with them they will go all strange on me, and than I think what did I do?
And other times they know I know about their gf and do not want to leave her but still act like they like me.

Idk I don't want a to like a guy with a gf but whenever i meet these guys they act like they are single.

So why do they do it??

    i just think they are nice guys and you are used to nasty guys. just because someone is nice to you, that doesnt mean they like you in that way.
    and when you say, they act like they are single, how exactly do they act? if they are just talking to you, making conversation then i think you are looking too deep into these situations.
    and for them to go all weird on you when you flirt with then, isnt that a good indicator that they arent interested in you in that way?

    Maybe you are just picking up on thier signals wrong. Or they are trying to be players and setting up backups for after they date thier girlfirend.

    I was gonna say it's called securing options. ALOT of people do it. Although personally I think it's borderline cheating. Focusing on a consolation prize instead of the 1st place prize. They are already betraying the relationship.

    haha I was thinking the samething today :P that when guys who I only feel friendship towards do nice things for me I think nothing of it but when guys I feel attracted to do the same exact thing it means he LIKES ME! HE LIKES ME! HE REALLY REALLY LIKES ME! haha :P I think you're right I think I being a little silly.

    what I meant by I think they act like they like me, is that in class I see them staring at me, or one guy made a big effort to walk me out of class and than when we said good bye, he went to walk away and than turned back to me and kissed me on the cheek but not in a friendly way in a like it...felt too intimate, than like next class he or so he said he had a girlfriend.

    idk but i totally get what you guys are saying you guys are so great <3
