Is it normal that guys whistle when you are near?

I always seem to realize that usually whenever I am near a man, mostly older/middle aged men, I hear whistling. It's not wolf whistling but some tune that is whistled instead. It gets on my damn nerves and I am getting really paranoid about this and about my body. Is it because of the way I look or is it my body? I am 23 years old, on the skinny side and 5ft 2. Is this normal?

You sure that confirmation bias isn't at work? If you've got it into your head that older guys whistle some tune when you're near, then you'll notice the whistlers and ignore all the older guys you encounter who aren't whistling.

Some people whistle as a habit and they're not even aware they're doing it, some people whistle when they're happy, and some people whistle as a sort of release of nervous energy. I'm an older guy, and I've never heard of a secret whistling code that older men use to communicate lewd comments about young women.

    Not everything is about you.

Males of all ages whistle at HOT chiquita's.
If they stop whistling , then you need to worry that you are losing your sex appeal.

It IS about your body..The tune is probably..Pretty Woman, Maneater, She's So Cold, Baby Got Back, or something like that..Just a nicer way of catcalling to get your attention..
