Is it normal, that foot fetishists can't seem to control themselves?

I have many fetishes, but the foot fetish isn't among them. I've done some research from personal experiences and from other places, and my conclusion is that foot fetishists seem to lack the ability to control themselves. Why is this so?

Is this normal? Have you noticed this too?

    i have this fetish and i have control, i don't go around losing control of it. the fetish isn't the issue, its who the person is who has it.

    and yes, i have noticed certain people who have the same fetish i do lose control of it. but that's because that person has no real desire to control it. its the whole, screw it thing. and the person just goes for it.

    "Not control themselves", what does that mean? I have a pretty strong foot fetish, yet I have no lack in self-control.

    I don't think it is that people can't control it. But it does seem to me that a good portion of the fetish is based around not having control. Sort of like a domination fetish. They are in complete control outside of a sexual situation. Maybe they get aroused like most people when they see breasts but they aren't rushing to rape or masturbate. But in a sexual situation with a consenting party maybe the 'loss of control' is part of the fetish?
