Is it normal that fandom made me hate band?

So I used to like this band since 2009 because they helped me discovering my favourite music genre. However last year I decided to look up stuff on tumblr atc and discovered that they are horribly overrated and everyone talk only about vocalists sexiness.... They don't even talk about their music! I still like guitarists, drummer and bassist but I HATE vocalists voice. How everyone talk about him as "singing god" and shit it makes me sick. In my opinion he's horrible singer (he also started using some autotune shit that makes their normally rock music sound like fucking dubstep) and it sickness me how everyone thinks they are best band in that genre and don't pay atenttion to other bands. Now ever time I see their faces I wanna punch something. If only those retarded fans would stop overacting I could listen to them again...

      OR maybe they could stop spamming youtube comments of toatlly different bands saying "OMG they copied them! Go listen to my favourite band instead!" But yeah I was really pissed when I posted it.

        You don't have to read the Youtube comments you know. I watch tons of video clips on Youtube without ever reading the comments.

    Which band is it? I thought 1D when I read the title but they haven't been around since 2009. I talked to one girl on Tumblr who liked Bayside, and they're one of my favourites too. But I stopped talking to her when she started being rude. Then later I looked at her page and realised how obsessed she was. Like she calls Anthony her husband and wants to cuddle with him and have his babies..I guess you can't control what you fantasize about but she embarassed herself by posting that publicly. She's not a little girl, she's technically an adult. Plus she has a bf in real life.

      Holy shit I´d never like 1D I hate their voices. Anyways it's the GazettE (there is 99% chance you have no idea who are they). Yeah fangirls on Tumblr are really annoying and most of them only post pictures of their favourite member saying "OMG you are so perfect I love you and I want you baby!!!"

    Hiya,

    It's not the fans that made you stop listening – you chose to stop. There'll always be people who overreact about bands; it affects all ages. I've cried at concerts & I'm 30 soon.

    I have to agree with NeuroNeptunian here; you're overreacting fanboys and fangirls will always be intensely annoying and they exist for every style of art that isn't difficult to appreciate. Live with it.
