Is it normal that everytime somebody does this i develop violet urges?

Every time a person oversimplifies a complex issue I may have or tells me my personal reason doesn't matter, I develop violent urges and gore-like imagery.
I despise not being taken seriously to the point of wanting to kill something.

"Violet urges" are pretty extreme. Mine have mellowed to a delicate shade of periwinkle.

Most people prefer to see things in black and white terms since that makes life simpler. Most people also believe that they have perfectly rational, logical reasons for coming to a particular conclusion on any issue, and they often dismiss contrary views as being without merit because thinking is hard work for them.

You have to accept the fact that the world is full of people with opinions that differ to your own, and you should try to stop taking this so personally.

Some people are blinkered, narrow-minded, and stupid. You can't change that. The best way to deal with such people is to avoid them. If you can't do that, you have to accept that they are who they are, and consider the source when they dismiss your views.

However, bear in mind that nobody is right all the time. You may be convinced that your current understanding of something is perfect, but it's possible you may realise in time that you were wrong. The beginning of wisdom is understanding just how much one doesn't know.

I can understand your feelings, try not to get too over the top in your thinking, cause it won't help you. I also think some people are massive, screaming, gaping assholes. I met someone recently who was all over the place, then got fixated on me, and was asking way too many personal questions. He was acting like he had some plan for me to improve my life, or whatever. Well, the thing is that I never asked for any of that crap. I finally asked him if he's ever been hit over the head with a frying pan, and then he finally slowed his roll. Freaking simmer down now!

Your exposés of creeps are so colorful, and you seem good at handling them. It must be wonderful to be you. (Except for the maternal gas lighting problem)

I say it's normal cause it happens to me but I sometimes feel that I simplify someone else's complex issues. I might be hypocrite.
