That's happened to me a few times. You don't really look hard at someone and they kinda look like someone and you're not sure for a second....
Similar funny story. One time I saw a dude from a pretty far distance and my vision isn't perfect. I was like oooh, he looks cute. Then I realised it was my boyfriend. >.<
You should look harder. Give them very piercing gazes. That should put a stop to their cleaver guises.
As if they were all wearing the same mask?
There's a health condition where people have a hard time differentiating faces. I don't know if this is what has been happening to you, though.
I found it! The name of the condition is Prosopagnosia.

I'm not good with differentiating people until I know them well. Maybe I don't care enough because I'm concentrating on other things. I just want them to always be in the same place or say things to clue me in so I won't have to work so hard and remembering who they are.
Not everyone is good with faces. Me, I never forget a face and I recognize people all the time, but can never remember their names. A friend of mine can't recognize an actor if he has a different haircut or has gotten a little older, but she knows the birthdays of almost everyone she's ever met. I know the birthdays of about 3 people (I just can't keep anymore numbers)
Funny how different brains work.
maybe there are many Chinese people... haha...
it can be a vision problem or a mental condition as well ...
I don't think this is normal or usual, but I don't think it's something that you should worry too much about either.
I have failing eyesight and this happens to me all the time. I meant to click normal. Sorry
That happens to me all the time! That's why I don't say hello to people unless I'm absolutely certain that they are who I think they are. I've been embarrassed way too many times, I understand you completely! I have so many anecdotes about this thing, where I confuse strangers with people I know.
If my face looks like Gerard Way's then I am the most beautiful thing to ever walk the earth!
