Is it normal that every time my phone rings it annoys me?

Every time my phone rings, it annoys me. My very first reaction to the ringing of my phone is a negative reaction,every time. It's not the ringtone, it's the fact that people are trying to contact me and I just want to be left alone. It feels like the person calling me is trying to annoy me and I don't answer, even if it's my family sometimes. I just really cannot be bothered talking on the phone most of the time. It's very irritating however it bothers me that I hardly EVER want to talk to anyone on the phone, including my family. IIN?

    I am the same way - I just associate any phone call with bad news (aka: Claire, do me a favor and...., or "this is your doctor; you have herpes"....., or my mother calling to 'chat' for 3 hours)

    Fear of the unknown, also, phone conversations just suck
    - akward silence
    - the ediquette and small talk that always happens before the actual purpose of the call is layed out
    - constant talking over eachother cos you think the other person is done... but they are just placing odd pauses in between words
    - difficulty to end a conversation
    etc.............. I could go on

    I feel the same way! My phone is necessary, but when t rings, I feel dread at having to answer it.

    Glad I'm not the only one. I get so mad, and with text messages too. I never understood why people would get upset when they don't get text messages/calls lol. I enjoy the peace and quiet

        song Yokusou Ni Dreambox Aruiwa Seijuku no Rinen to Tsumetai Ami (yes that's 1 title) by my favourite band Dir en grey. It starts slow and then BOOM everyone in bus stares at me like I killed someone :D

    I feel this way when my mom calls me. Sometimes she'll even call, we'll talk for about 20 minutes, and then 10 seconds after I say goodbye and hang up, she'll call again.

    I have no qualms about not answering the phone if I don't want to be bothered.

      Yeah, it's even more irritating when they call you back subsequent to the previous unwanted phone call! Just when you thought it was over lol. But you're right, I shouldn't let it bother me and just accept the fact that I don't want to talk at the time.

    Sometimes my phone is actually ringing and gone unnoticed .. I wanted to find a solution for it hence I done a bit of research and find something trendy on the internet which is called Name Ringtone mixer on LAZYtone (http://www.lazytone.me/)
    it's actually a really good idea I think..you can even mix your name with the song you like .. anyone is using name ringtone here?

    Either get rid of your phone or put it on silent. Mine is always on silent because I hate the sound of ringtones
