    Cannabis affects areas of the brain that allow you to forget trivial things. This is a vital function as otherwise your memory would max out (filled up with ads, license plate numbers and stranger's faces) in a few months. The fact that THC interferes with this function (temporarily) makes the present moment seem more intense and meaningful. This applies to watching cartoons or having sex. If you catch yourself getting aroused by the squirrel on Sponge Bob, you may have a problem, though.
