Is it normal that dog saliva turns me on?

Alright, so let me start at the beginning of my tale:
I've never had a dog. I don't really know how to interact with them, but I've liked them since I was in 6th grade. I had a short make out session with my cousins male Australian Shepherd when I was 18, and that was absolutely wonderful, but the feelings were forgotten soon afterward, until just recently, when,
during Psychology class last week, my teacher asked me to go pick up some papers she'd printed from the library printer. Now, at my college, one of the librarians has a male black lab named Snickers.
He's sort of like the school's unofficial mascot.
Anyway, as soon as I got in the door, there he was lying on the floor right there.
I kneeled down and reached out my hand so that he could inspect it, and he walked over and I started petting him as he licked my face and mouth.
The feelings haven't gone away since then, and I did some research and many people seem to believe that "french kissing" dogs (or letting them lick you in the mouth) is gross, but I like it, and don't care terribly much about the germs that come along with the act. In fact, I welcome them. I'll take all of the dog germs I can get.
