Is it normal that cute sounds make me want to cry?

I'm female and for as far back as I can remember, cute sounds have made me want to start crying. I don't know what it is about them that triggers this. They have never actually made me physically cry before, but they give me the urge to do so and I fear that if I ever heard one while being in a particularly bad mood, I actually would start crying!

I recently bought an adorable clock with different cat breeds on it (I am a cat person). It makes meowing sounds every hour. Some of the sounds don't bother me, but there are two in particular that are so cute that they just make me want to curl up and weep.

I remember getting the same feeling when I was a child when I played a Kirby video game with my brother on the SNES. There was a certain melody that played when you completed a level, and I absolutely hated it because it secretly made me want to cry. I also had a plush toy kitten that made cute noises, and I hated the noises so much that I opened up its velcro stomach and cut the sound box out of it with scissors.

Is this normal or am I alone in this? I'd like to hear from anyone else who experiences this. Thank you!
