Is it normal that close friend now irritate eachother?

My friend and I don't get along much anymore. we have been through a lot, but seemingly she doesn't respect or laugh with/at me. I still try to hang out with her but she's always "busy" and "doesn't have time". I know she's lying because I saw her at Starbucks alone about 10 minutes after I called her(I went on a bike ride).
On my part, she takes things too far to be funny. Also I feel I'm acting like a councilor for her... she will always complain to me and get mad at me if I don't "solve/listen to her problems. The thing is I've known her for 5 years and all of the sudden this? I don't get it please help!

If I were you I would distance myself from her. Friendship should be a two way street, and in my humble opinion it appears that she's using you like a free therapist.

Maybe it's just a phase and you need to take some time apart from each other.
I'll tell you something, I somehow got tired of my bestfriend when I was in highschool, we stopped hanging out as much as we did before. We were like 16 and we stopped getting along. Then when we were in different universities we starting talking to each other again. Now we are almost 30 and we still keep in touch, I don't see her very often but she's one of the very few people I really trust. (and we are still the two confused girls, only with jobs and so...)
I don't want to bore you with the story, but the thing is, if you are really good friends, the fact that you stop hanging out for sometime doesn't necesarilly mean you will loose that friendship. :)
