Is it normal that certain music makes me really cross and upset ??

Hiya,

I've got behavioural problems due to a disability, which I refer to as the black cloud (depression/anxiety/rage) I used to listen to a lot of heavy stuff and watch some violent stuff.

The black cloud always seemed to appear after listening to certain music – there was one song in particular, so I stopped bothering with it and re-discovered my childhood love of folk and blues post-concert.

Said problems disappeared and I felt fine –- as fine as you can feel when half of your body doesn't work. I still had the odd snap at someone but nowhere near as bad as before.

Then I put some of the other stuff on a couple of weeks later and said cloud came back worse than ever. I felt so awful I passed it onto someone else.

Do you think certain music/TV/films can cause this sort of problem, or worsen what's already there?? I never used to think it did but it clearly does in my case.

I've since immortalised said concert in a short story with a made-up song, which has been used for therapy.

Are you seeking help for your black cloud? Seems like something pretty serious might be going on!
