Is it normal that carrots make my tounge itchy?

Whenever i eat carrots my tounge gets itchy. Its only normal carrots, not baby carrots. Am i allergic or something?

    Definitely allergic.. Go and get some allergy testing. My son is anaphylactic to potatoes... So, eating fries from macdonalds will kill him. Potatoes make his tongue itchy!

    Prob a slight allergic reaction, but Id be careful because IF it is...one day it might be severe & dangerous.
