Is it normal that b12 doesnt do anything for me?

I started taking Vitamin B12 since a few day about a week now and nothing has happened. I dont feel any difference in life. People told me it would be great and all but I dont feel no nothing. Is it normal that this happens? Or am I not taking it long enough?

Thaaaaaank you! :)

  • You'll only notice a difference is you were lacking in it to begin with. try inhaling a load of nitrous oxide canisters (laughing gas bulbs) over a period of time and see how lethargic you get from it (nitrous oxide depletes vitamin B12) then stop the nitrous and start taking vitamin B12 for the next few days and you should gradually start to perk up again.

OP, try taking a stronger vitamin, preferably a B-Complex. Not all brands are alike, check the percentages before you buy. Oh, and price is not reflective of strength either.

Make sure you're getting moderate amounts of saturated fat and cholesterol too. You brain is literally made of fat, and it needs these two components to operate properly. Coconut oil and eggs are two great sources.

For your homework, I recommend watching "Fathead". It's a documentary made by an amateur, and it's basically a response to "Super-size Me". It's funny as hell too. ^_^

If you're taking B12 by mouth, it's not going to do anything. You have to either inject it or apply the B12 patches.

Maybe you have sufficient intake from food sources?

I never notice an effect from the supplements I sometimes need to take. I just notice a long-term effect if I don't take them.

Some people say they get a kick out of B12 and it is one of the ones I have to take now and again as a vegetarian because the only thing I get it from is cheese. I don't get any noticeable kick. Take it long enough and you may feel slightly better than you would have done. Probably not enough to notice, though.
