Is it normal that alprazolam screwed me than other hard drugs?

I had done like tons and tons of hard drugs (literally) esp acid and ecstacy and i knew i had changed due to its effects but i could still go about my daily activities effortlessly. This was 2 years ago.

In the December of 2009, i was prescribed an anti-anxiety drug that contained Alprazolam to overcome any withdrawal from drinking. Frankly speaking i had no anxiety and no withdrawal symptoms yet i started taking the med.

Pretty soon i was abusing it. I used to take around 2 mg in the mornings and go about my day and in the evenings i used to have around 6-8 pints of beer.

I was on the alprazolam for nearly 18 months and now i have been trying to stay off it. In the last 2 months i have only taken it on 3-4 social occasions/ weddings.

Currently i have become very anxious with thoughts and fears of death and other crap. All this started after i quit the drug and i realized that prescription medicines like Alprazolam are actually very addictive and dangerous.

My mind is kinda foggy and i have a train of thoughts running through my brain.I have also transformed from being the life of the party to anxious-about-going-out and meeting people.

Around about a year ago,i went and got a blood test, liver test and x-ray done and the doctor said i had nothing to worry about.

But after stopping this med i feel and panic that i should get an MRI scan or other higher order test to see if i have any brain or lung/heart damage.

Are these withdrawal effects common and how long are they gonna last considering i was on alprazolam for 18 months?

Thank you for your time.

Another name for alprazlam is xanax. Like all bezodiazapines it is stored in you liver. Your liver release it the same way it releases stored suger. Withdrawal from the drug can take up to 6 weeks to get out of your system.

Thanks a lot for the info man. You are a genuine lifesaver.

So far i've managed only 4 weeks before having to take in 2gm tablets.

Do you know it takes 6 weeks from personal experience? 'Cos i would love to hear from someone who went through this and came clean.

          Thanks once again!

Pharmaceuticals are not formulated with your best interest in mind. The same entity is responsible for HFCS, GMOs, etc. I use herbs and holistic remedies for any health issues. Did you know that pharmaceuticals, while costing an arm and a leg, many times are made on purpose to ruin another part of your health to ensure their job security (and your misery)? SCREW THAT.. herbs all the way for me anyway. Screw big pharma and the illuminati behind all this BS.

  • The Xanax has become a vice for you to escape from the fears and unconscious material released during the acid trips.
