Is it normal that all of a sudden i like my close friend??

I've been close friends with this girl for 3 years and we like the same stuff and we've gone to concerts together and we always give eachother small gifts everytime I see each other like I give her a signed band poster,clothes or something I drew for her and she sometimes gives me concert tickets.I used to talk about her to my bestfriend frequently and this year got them to meet in may. when my close friend left,my best friend said that i like her and i change when shes around like the way i act towards her is nervous,how much I talk about her and always say how beautiful she looks.Until she pointed it out i realized i really noticed that I liked her,I started holding her hand more and hugging more and acting odd more and I even got a concussion at warped tour and she was freaking out and was hugging me and crying and it sounds creepy but,her giving me that attention made me feel so loved inside that for the first time somebody I really liked paid attention to me,is that normal??
