Is it normal that all my friends are the same gender as me?

I don't have any male friends at all. All my friends are girls. I want to be able to date already, but since I have no guy friends it makes it that much harder.

Yes its normal unless your some gender that is neither male or female. Then you and your friends must all be from the same planet and although its not nnormal on earth it would still be normal for you.

  • Normal! You feel more comfortable around girls that boys. To get male friends you kind of have to flirt or seem a bit stupid and exciting, but then guys will probably fall in love with you. Only live once, give it a go

I have to say I'm the opposite- I have no idea where I'd be without my male friends. If I wanna know how I look I can expect an honest answer- "yep your bum looks bloody massive.", where as females like to sugar-coat it. They don't take much to heart so you can insult them as much as possible and know they'll just laugh it off, they're great with my relationship problems (only a man can tell you honestly what's going through another mans mind) they're not bitchy and they're so much more care-free. And my favourite thing about males, as much as I hate to admit it, I find them funnier than women. Don't get me wrong I have met some hilarious girls but the gender on a whole is funnier, sorry girls!
You just have to relax with them, be yourself, they're not as scary as you think and conversation should fall pretty naturally. You don't have to hang round with boys to find a boyfriend though so don't worry about it too much, you'll find someone but you should try socialising with boys as their friendships can be one of a kind!

I'm the same. Just don't know how to act around them and what to talk about. And if I do, then they fall for me and then it's not about friendship anymore, and I freak out and stop talking to them :/ I feel a lot more comfortable hanging out with girls than with guys.
... sorry didn't really help your case; this is an IIN website and not a self-help one after all; I'm just telling you that you're normal XD
