Is it normal that after my period i have brown discharge?

Today i got off my period, but i went into the bathroom to use it and there was brown discharge and it scared me because i dont no what it is, i have to wear a tampon because i dont want to get imbarased i school because it will look like i took a crap in my pants.

    Brown discharge means your body is cleaning the old blood out left over from your period. Totally normal.
    Brown blood= Old blood
    Red blood= New blood

    blood turns brown when it is old. If you have old dried blood that is a few hours or even a day old it will be brown. Even blood stain will often turn brown. So yes brown blood is normal.

      If it's making a mess of your underwear, then yes still wear one until it stops completely.
