Is it normal that after i was in the sun, i blacked out and puked?

I tried to tan a bit (first time going outside with the intent to tan in years) and I was out there for about 30 minutes. I started sweating pools on my body, and when I went inside, I started puking and blacked out completely. I felt better once I had gotten in front of the fan and drank some water. What was it?

Pretty sure that means you have heatstroke.

Eh, I've experienced almost the exact same thing. I was in line for a ride during 100°F weather, and I haven't eaten or drank anything all day, and then everything got kind of muffled. I could barely make out sounds, and my vision started to go black, and I collapsed. All I remember is feeling someone carry me away, and everyone screaming "GET HELP!". Ironically, when I got to the doctor's office. I was back to normal, talking, not dizzy, and they found nothing wrong.

You could be anemic (lacking enough iron). Iron is a necessity. I am very anemic and have to take daily iron pills just to stay in my feet. I have found I am less 'woozy' when in extreme heat although still get a bit dizzy at times. I recommend you ask your doctor and take a blood test just in case your iron deficient.

Heat exhaustion OR sun poisioning. Sun posioning would most likely if you were out in the sun for long periods of time, though. I doubt if you were sweating greatly that its sun poisining.

Yeah, heat exhaustion. Be careful how much sun you have because it can spill over into sunstroke. I've had moderately severe sunstroke once in my life and I am NEVER going there again. No matter how much I've drank, I have never felt so mortally unwell as when I had sunstroke. It's horrible.

Sounds like heat exhaustion which is one step away from a heat stroke. You're lucky this is all that happened!
