Is it normal that a baby's first word was daddy?
I'm asking because my sisters baby said daddy as her first words instead of mommy and she's worried that she doesn't spend enough time with the baby. Is it normal?

Daddy is often said before mommy since it is easier to say, I wouldn't worry about it
Typically, the babies first word is "Daddy" or "Da-da" because it's easiest for the baby to pronounce.
One baby I look after said 'daddy' after weeks of saying 'mamamamama'.
Her mother got in her face and yelled, "Mummy! Not Daddy!"
That's not normal.
One of my friends says they tell her cousin her first word was 'Oh'. They don't like to mention that 'oh' was immediately followed by 'shit'.
At least her child is pronouncing two syllables. I was far too lazy, my first word was "no".
It is very normal. try this the the sound DADA a couple of times then do the same with mama see how you have to move your lips more for mama? Some babies don't have all of the muscles worked out with talking so DADDY is a very common word.
No, it's not normal. They were probably switched at birth. Or they're a changeling. Get that child to an exorcist!
Do you even need to ask this question? Of course it's effing normal.
Its normal cuz its a lot easier to say... I have a 2 year old and her first word was "da da". However, her dad doesnt see her often so I never hear her mention his name. Babies slash kids are very attatched to their moms anyhow.
they always say dada first all three of mine did and i spend the most time with them
It was previously mentioned that 'Daddy' is an easier word for babies to say, I do agree. This is normal, not to worry.
Daddy is the most commonest first word for a baby, has nothing to do with who spends time with the baby the most so your sister shouldn't worry
