Is it normal swollen throat when i drink

So for the last 2 weeks I've gone out drinking, not excessively, i usually drink every other week. So last weekend I was on my way home when I realized my throat was swelling, I immediately worried about my allergies assuming it was the flavor, I took my medicine and went to bed, I had the same reaction this weekend to a different type of liquor! This has never happened before on other days! What do I do?

Well first, if you were really concerned you would stop drinking. Second, after drinking alcohol you become dehydrated...thereore your throat swells. If you wan to continue to drink then consume as much or mire water than alcohol and it usually helps.

Maybe you are allergic. I would have a doctor check it out.

It could be that you are allergic to what the alchohol is made of. I have a friend who is allergic to corn therefore she has to be really careful. or it could be something added. Check with your doctor

Does NOT mean you cant develope a reaction, DURRR. Everytime u drink or eat something..or throat starts to close.... Yeaaah back off, just stop breathing for the sake of alcohol lol. Do what u want, not my throat...thats y I said go to the Doctor & get it figured out.

Orrrrrr, just a thought.. STOP drinking. Some people can be very allergic to alcohol. Whats more important, drinking or breathing? Go see your Doctor about it, maybe he can do an allergy test.
