Is it normal switzerland destruction?

Ever since I was really young I've never believed that Switzerland is real because my family planned a vacation there but then at the last minute we couldn't go. at the time, my mother told me it was because the travel agent lied and because Switzerland isn't a real place after all. During the following years, my mother kept telling me that more and more places were just imaginary until she finally said that all of Europe is made up. Recently I learned that she was lying to me the whole time and that these places do exist. Is it normal that whenever I hear of conflict overseas I hope that fighting will erupt and wipe Switzerland off the map? It's not that I hate the Swiss or like violence or anything. It's just that I didn't believe the country existed for so long that now I just want it to get destroyed so I can go back to believing that. IIN?
