Is it normal? strange hobos.

So a few days ago I was just walking down the street minding my own business in my suburb in Las vegas.

I saw an increasing number of homeless people prowling the streets, i guess they were just looking for food, because it was garbage day.

Some of them asked for spare change, but i denied them the pleasure, thinking that it's obamas job to help them.

So just as I entered main street I saw some of the wierdest sh*t in the world.

A hobo lady around 40-50 or so was just sitting there, peeing between two trash cans. I looked away and started jogging. The next thing I saw was...( not a troll) was...

Another ethinic hobo making sweet, yet filthy standing position love to another hobo lady, with no hair.

At that moment I ran to the 7/11.

Is it normal?

You treat them like animals, they will act like ones. If more people tried to help them, instead of being greedy and claiming it was someone else job, maybe they would be better off.

I work with hobos on a regular basis at work as a Security Guard and associate with EMTs on a frequent basis too. I also do community service, working with these people, through church and welfare programs.

There are the elderly, which make up a decent population of the homeless. They typically go to government programs for help and do not behave like this on the streets. There are the mentally challenged, in which case there isn't much you can do for them and it is best to approach them with caution. Then there are the drug addicts. Giving them money is essentially buying them drugs and puts you at risk to be hit up for more money or even mugged or harassed. The rest seek government assistance programs or church assistance and do not behave in the manner the OP described.

Either way, it is best to avoid these folk to keep oneself safe. It's not about greed. If I could help them all, I would, but the fact of the matter is that many of them are among the stock that I described, and there is little that can be done for them outside of government intervention. We can help cushion their fall, but the fact of the matter is that we'd have to do more than just simply "helping" them to solve the problem.

As for me, I am more worried about my own safety and survival right now. It's not about greed, it's about common sense. Giving them money keeps them coming back to that area, and the more that come the worse that the economy gets in that area, thus perpetuating the problem. Hand outs don't solve shit, in their circumstances.

Well... I guess they have to have sex at some point. It's probably the only thing that makes them happy.

They have to make do with their surroundings. I take she had no where else to go to the bathroom and the two you saw kissing were probably lovers. It's normal.

man, you gotta start cleaning up your streets.

Obama won't take out your trash for you, he's knee deep in shit of his own. Grab a shotgun and do your civil duty. talk to your neighbours and form a little militia to patrol the streets in the evening. Trust me, like any parasite - if you keep your shit clean they'll go somewhere else.

thats awesome that some still have active sex lives :) their lives would be so devoid of any luxury we take for granted. I've never seen any publicly making love but that doesn't mean its not normal. As for the peeing, that is normal.

    Normal.
But since I just made a super long post, I will leave it at that.

Homeless people often "migrate" to areas with little police enforcement, good weather, and a favorable "climate" (i.e. people that will give them money and not protest their presence). Expect property values in that area to go down and crime rates to go up. Move out while your home is still worth something.

Interesting story! I have often wondered what goes on in the suburbs of Las Vegas. Do most of the people there work within the mega tourist area where all the amazing hotels etc are?
Were the people in the suburbs there before 'The Strip' was developed?
What other work is there in the suburbs? Are there hospitals in Las Vagas?

They usually make hobo love in dumpsters for privacy. What is this world coming to with hobos wanting to flaunt their sexuality? Are they now wanting to parade it in the streets like the homo people?
