Is it normal stomach pains?

So, for several years now I have been having chronic and EXTREMELY painful stomach pains. It usually happens about 2/3 times a day and last for a minute or two. I went to the doctor not long ago and he says I have a germ in my stomach I likely contracted overseas (Iraq). He said it's a type of germ that lives in stomach acid, so it irritates the stomach into filling up with acid. Hence the extreme pain. They have me on some pill called "Omeprozalone" to try and kill it, but it's not working. It's violently painful. Makes me break out in sweat and I can barely move. Again, this happens 2/3 times a day. Anyone else ever have anything like this?

Have you talked to a naturapath? I've had countless stomach issues and have success with speciality diets and herbs to detox my system. If the drugs aren't working, try the alternative. Certain foods may make your gut inhospitable for the germ.

Talk to a herbalist. Do you eat GMO's? If yes you need to switch to organic food. You also might want to look in to acupuncture and fire cupping.

I'm not a doctor or anything so I can't provide "real" help, but if you're desperate, I use something which really helps me whenever I'm sick or in pain or feeling bad.
Tastes like shit, but I use Dr. Ernst Richter's natural infusions (all 4 of them at the same time before bed time).
I drink all four cups before going to bed.
Then in the morning I have searing belly pain and diarrhea and I'm cured.
I know how fuckin' stupid it sounds, but it works for me.

  • I do and I take Omeprazole. I have gastritis. I stopped taking it a while ago because I hadn't been to the doctor in over a year and so I didn't know if it was bad to take it for so long. (Also it didn't seem to be working)

A month ago it got so bad I would be in pain all day every day. (So I started taking it again.) Every 10 minutes I'd get shooting pain for short periods of time. It hurt when I didn't eat and it hurt even more when I did. I can't eat much because I just get full in two or three bites. If I do eat a normal to large sized meal I'll be regretting it.

      • :) I wasn't either; at least we know we aren't alone. I hate when I get stomach pains while driving. It really is terrible and feels like your stomach is literally ripping apart. I've been a little better after starting my pills again. Maybe they have something stronger they can prescribe you?
