Is it normal spontaneous pain and pimple?

I was sitting around at the computer, when I felt a tingling in my mouth, around where the tongue connects to the bottom of the mouth. Kinda felt like getting novacaine except it started feeling like it was pulsing and being pinched. I drank some water to see if it was a chemical, but when I looked in the mirror, it literally looked like a whitehead on that thin piece of tongue connector. I have no idea what its actually called, so im calling it that. I know what whiteheads are, but it seems really unlikely to get one on the inside of my mouth. I brush regularly, and didn't eat anything weird. Dont smoke or drink. I'm not gonna pop it cause it hurts enough as it is; my question is: has this ever happened to anyone?

*cold sores can only be on the outside of the mouth. If they are inside it's considered a canker sore.

Could be a canker sore/ ulcer or it could be herpes. Just get it checked out if it bother you.

Not sure if it's normal but sometimes I get little painful bumps on my tongue when I'm tired or stressed so maybe it's the same thing but I've never gotten one on the connecting tissue underneath like you've described.
