Is it normal song stuck in my head

When i was in 9th grade, I got a part of a song stuck in my head every day from the middle of october to my birthday, january 27. I didnt know what it was called, or who it was by. I didnt know where i heard it at. I didnt know how the tune to the rest of the song went and i didnt even know the words to the part that was stuck in my head. A year later, i found out what it was called by playing rock band. It was called miss murder. I forgot who it was by, then a year later, that song got stuck in my head again and so i looked up the song and found out it was by afi. Of course, i have the song in my ipod now since there were a few months i got it stuck in my head every day.
