my sister is turning 13 in june and she hasnt had her period i got myn when i turned 12 she is really worried we dont really have a mom around to ask so is it normal?

      as for the op, ya, totally normal, there's a vast variance of ages, among friends and family, i've heard everything from 8 to 16...*shrug*

    Yeah, it's normal.
    I didn't have mine until I was 15. There is nothing to worry about. The only reason one would need to be concerned is if she has reached 18 and has not had her period or if she has sexual relations and she has not had her period. It is possible to be fertile and ovulate before the onset of menses and if she has unprotected sex then her not having a period could signify pregnancy.

    But that is unlikely. Unless you're living in Pakistan or something like that.

    Normal.
