I was in denial that something was wrong with me for many years until October of last year. There are times that I'm still in denial and I know that I probably should get diagnosed, but I can't... Not taking care of yourself properly is one of the many symptoms. Eventually, you'll have to get diagnosed or seek medical help. But for now, reading up on it should help.
Schizophrenia is a chronic, severe and disabling brain disease. Near about 40% of men and 23% of women diagnosed with the schizophrenia the condition manifested itself before the age of 19. It occurs 1.4 times more frequently in the males than the females. The peak ages of onset are 20 to 28 years for males and 26 to 32 years for females.

If you realised it, it's not a severe case. There are great drugs with few side-effects that will get rid of it over the course of a couple of years. See a psychiatrist ASAP and get him to put them down under headache pills for insurance, otherwise your insurance will treat you like a maniac. I've been there. :)
Did you realize it or were you diagnosed? Have you ever been on meds to control your condition? Denial is a common symptom (nothing is wrong with me). I don't know about normal, but it is not healthy.
