I don't get this logic. You get high and know you are going to hallucinate. So why would people say they saw something unbelievable while high and assume its real.
Ive seen lots of things high and never believed any of it was real. I mean unless you're causing serious brain damage with the drugs you're taking youd have to be an idiot to believe the moon is melting or that you're walking on a bridge made of a trolls braided pink and blue beard hairs.
I've done literally thousands of hits of acid since the 80z and have never mistaken mind-manifested things 4 reality. I have had persistant trails since 1985...

When you are on drugs reality and fantasy is not a factor when you see colors flying through the air you dont think its real or just a hallucination you simple enjoy what you are seeing this is why people do them in the first place
What makes you think every way to get high gives you hallucinations? Some drugs allow one to see and hear things which we don't notice when straight, and that is not hallucinating. Far from it. An open mind (or expanded consciousness, if you prefer) is not at all the same thing as a hallucination, nor does it lead to them.

I guess not, but then again you did not mention any particular drug, so "You get high and know you are going to hallucinate." could mean you know nothing of what you are talking about and assume all drugs will make you hallucinate, right?

Stimulants(Uppers) and depressants(Downers) are another type but I am sure you wouldn't know anything about that either.

With all the misinformation going on on this site regarding drugs, I thought, by your post, you were another ill informed person talking about all drugs. You certainly did not specify "hallucinogens" did you?

Nobody hallucinates on drugs. Nobody sees things that aren't actually there. Drugs distort what is there. Illusionate would be a better description. The 'illusion' may be that things are moving when they are not. The carpets and curtains frequently do this when under the influence of LSD. I mean the person is under the influence, not the carpets/curtains. Being chased by a giant mars bar? Maybe in your minds eye, but you would never hallucinate anything like this. If you do, its probably schizophrenia, or a tumor. Enjoy your drugs you crazy kids!
