Is it normal people tell me i need help even when i see no problem?

My best friend and my mom tells me I need help. I hear voices and (apparently) have an eating disorder but I just don't see the problem.

When youhave disorders it's like an addiction, you're in denial that you have one.Listen to your mom and friend.

Um, you're hearing voices. Yeah you need help. And it could be anything from schizophrenia to depression, there's a few disorders that include auditory hallucination

It took me being brought to jail while completely delirious to accept that I needed help. I hear voices to.

This is just another example of how people love to bring others down. Don't listen to them, just be your wonderful natural self!

As someone who is interested in and a student of psychology, I can't what if anything is wrong with you without knowing you, however, I will say that given your symptoms if the voices that your hearing begin to persuede you into harming others or yourself, seek help IMMEDIATELY. Also, if you begin falling into some grandiose scheme (such as thinking your God or some other delusion of extreme grandeur), you also may need IMMEDIATE attention.

When you have disorders it is common to be in denial. I was in denial about my mental health and my anorexia for years. I didn't realise that I was slowly killing my self until sometime last years when some fellow users managed to knock some sense into me. For my mental health, I didn't occur to me that there was something wrong until the fall of 2011 after I unintentionally ruined another potential relationship because of my paranoia and delusions of grandeur. If they say you need help, YOU need help. If we say, YOU STILL NEED HELP. Good Luck!

Dont wory...if you dont have a problem with how you are,it's no reason to stress...Try to keep the voices for yourself, the others will think you have problems so they will try to help you...

I don't think it's as serious as Schizophrenia at all. I know that when i get stressed i have a sort of 'alter ego' shall we say. Something in the back of my mind telling me that it's going to all be okay. Depending on what my stressful position is, depends on what i hear.
I think it's just the way your body is communicating with you, to inform you of things that you are unconsciously unaware of.
of course, if the voices get louder, or if you hear them in less practical ways and the information being received becomes dark and subjective, i would then suggest you see a specialist.
For now though, i think it's normal. It's more common in more creative types.

Compared to your eating disorder, if you have one, it could be simply related to stress again. If you're currently sitting exams or what have you, you may feel as though you have no control over them, and you will then control your eating habit as a way of feeling in control of your life in general.
Once again, if your eating habit gets worse, i advise you see a specialist. I hope this helps. :)
