Is it normal people keep saying i'm a tomboy when i'm actually not?
First of all, I'm sorry if anyone feels offended but these are all the things I could come up with that MIGHT indicate a girl is a tomboy. All of which I do the exact opposite as below.
I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't play skateboard. I'm not friends with many guys. Heck, I can't carry on a decent conversation with a guy more than five mins without feeling awkward or wanting to flee. I don't punch, neither do I kick.
Yes, I wear baggy shirt and shorts on daily basis for the sake of comfort but I also wear frilly camisole and skirt when I feel like wearing them. Yes, I don't wear make up on daily basis but I absolutely do whenever needed. Yes, I play basketball but that's because it's the only sport I'm in love with. No, I don't wear high heels cause I can't walk two steps without falling flat on my face but I do wear wedges cause they're more comfortable.
The thing is almost all of the people I know say I'm a tomboy. I just don't get it.
When I asked why, they said I just give off that vibe. One even said I look more 'masculine' than my brother when I sit still doing nothing. I was like 'Excuse meehh?!', but ended up laughing anyway. I've come to terms with it that I find it amusing now. Still I don't know why they keep mistaking me for a guy, esp when I wear a jacket with hood on. Or when I ride a motorcycle. Recently, one of my juniors even said I look 'macho'. Whatever that means. Lol!
I look aloof most of the time but that's actually because I'm too shy too start a conversation.
Is it normal for them to think so? Or do I really sound like a tomboy to you?
I swear I paint my nails on daily basis. Glittery even.
SORRY FOR THE VERY LONG POST, ANYWAY. Hahaha!
